The shops are now full of lots of new and interesting clothes so here is my synopsis of the 5 main Autumn Winter Fashion Trends this year!
The colours are all very autumnal with mustard, butterscotch, khaki, burgundy, purple and camel dominating – with a little bit of rose pink for balance!
Also be aware of big sleeves, lace, ankle boots and pleated skirts!
Garments, themes, styles and features to be aware of include:
This is everywhere in trousers, dresses, jackets, shoes, bags and choker necklaces. This fabric which is usually the preserve of evening wear is also going to be seen at all times of the day!
Again this theme is being used on a variety of different garments from blouses, knitwear, dresses and jackets.
3. Wide Legged Trousers:
Hurrah something for those of us with thighs and bottoms!! Ranging from 80’s style peg topped pleats, through to culottes this trend will continue to grow.
4. Trench Coats and Macs:
With this ever practical tie belt style look for different colours, patterns and fabrics to add variety to your outerwear.
5. Floral Dresses and Slip Dresses:
There is definitely a 1970s vibe here with maxi and midi lengths. If you choose a slip dress for winter than add a slinky roll neck jumper underneath to keep you warm!
