We offer a number of different image based courses for both new and established consultants that can be studied in the training room or at home.

The Foundation Course in Image Consultancy

Our Foundation Course Modules are accredited and audited by The Federation of Image Consultants (TFIC) to guarantee the highest quality image consultant training. To study a certified, professionally recognised course, you need to enrol on the Study in Style Foundation Course.

The Foundation Course is made up of four modules that all comply with the TFIC / City and Guilds of London, Masters Award in Image Consultancy.

The Four Core Modules are -

Colour Analysis, Women’s Style, Men’s Style and Make-up Application. These modules can be studied together as the Complete Foundation Course or separately if you want to focus on just one topic or if you want to add one or two modules to your existing skills set.

The Foundation Course modules can be studied Face to Face in the training room or at home via DVD based Distance Learning.

The Face to Face modules are taught in small groups – with a maximum of three people. Because of this, we are able to tailor the training to meet everyone’s needs and abilities; plus trainees get the opportunity to try out their new skills with immediate feedback and advice from Gail and their fellow students.

The Distance Learning modules are written, presented and designed by Gail to ensure that the students’ experience is as close as possible to that of the Face to Face courses. They offer a great alternative to those students who can’t attend the Face to Face courses due to geography, budget, or family/job commitments.

The Personal Stylist Course

This is a separate and stand alone course and on completion will allow you to set up your own personal stylist business – offering wardrobe consultations and personal shopping sessions to female clients. The course content focuses on colour theory, women’s style and setting up your business, as well as how to organise wardrobe and personal shopping consultations.

Advanced Image Consultant Training

We presently run two courses aimed at established image consultants who wish to add to their skills.

Presentation Skills and Corporate Training – Full of hints and tips on presentation skills, how to structure a talk or seminar, what information to include and what to leave out, how to engage an audience and even how to breathe! This course is designed to help experienced image consultants plan a presentation and move from the private, domestic market into the corporate training world.

Wardrobe Weeding/Personal Shopping Course – Designed to enable active image consultants to earn more money by offering invaluable additional services to their clients. On this course we focus on how to organise, plan and undertake wardrobe sorting and personal shopping sessions in order to keep clients coming back year after year.

Image consultancy is about more than just telling people ‘what not to wear’ or what their colours are. It’s about empowering your clients to choose, buy and wear clothes that truly suit them and make them feel a million dollars.
