Filming finally began last week on my first module, Colour Analysis. Everyone told me the planning would be the hardest bit but I’m not so sure. I have always been convinced that the DVD should offer a real training experience – the next best thing to face to face training. So I’ve asked the guys to pay a lot of attention to the visual aspects of the filming. I want variety in the close-ups, variety in the models used and variety in the settings – without losing the training room feel.

I’ve had no formal film training so I was pretty nervous about appearing on film. There are so many things to think about – try and keep my head still, don’t wave my arms around too much and remember my words!
